Alexander Jauregui Galarza

College of Medicine Senator

Office hours: Thursdays 3:40-5:00pm at the ASUA Office

Hey everyone! My name is Alexander Jauregui Galarza, and I am the current ASUA Senator for the College of Medicine as well as one of your voices in our student government. In ASUA, I  serve as a member of the Budget & Oversight Committee, a director on the Club Appropriations Committee, and my COM-T Senator position carries the distinct responsibility of supporting pre-health clubs at the University of Arizona. On a personal note, I am a junior on a pre-med journey, majoring in Medicine with an Integrative and Practice-Focused Medicine Focus. I love staying involved on campus whether it’s through clubs such as Phi Delta Epsilon or research as a student research tech at the Institute for Cellular Transplantation. You’ll often find me going on hikes, exploring the town, and checking out new experiences with friends. My goal is to ensure a supportive and established community for all College of Medicine students to fall on as they pass through their college journey. We are working on a ride arrange of initiatives such as: campus market affordability, club involvement/interclub collaboration, low-sensory study environments, pre-health events/projects, tackling ‘toxic pre-med culture’, and overall outreach within our college and Tucson community. Please feel free to reach out anytime to me via email (alexanderJG@arizona.edu) or Instagram (@senalexanderjg) if you have any questions about our college, ASUA, specific requests, or any other concerns/suggestions. I look forward to working in collaboration with you all throughout the year!
