Campus Pantry

About Us

The goal of the UA Campus Pantry is to reduce food insecurity in our Wildcat Community. At our distribution events, students and staff can grab important food staples at no cost. All you need is your CatCard!

The mission of the UA Campus Pantry is to alleviate hunger in the UA Wildcat community by providing food assisstance to those in need.

UA Campus Pantry was first chartered in the spring of 2012, along with a small group of student volunteers with a passion for serving the University of Arizona students and staff members. The UA Campus Pantry is committed to helping students and staff who experience food insecurity gain access to nutritional resources.

The UA Campus Pantry contributes to an environment of growth and encouragement supporting students in pursuit of a higher education and a healthier lifestyle through community strengthening, partnering, and student leadership.

How It Works

Any person with a UA CatCard can access the Pantry. Our current hours of operation are Fridays from 11am-1pm during the academic year. Changes to our Friday schedule will occur during holidays and academic breaks. For up-to-date information on our days of operation, please see the Events calendar. We are located in the basement of the Student Union.

To find us, turn left at the Information Desk located next to UMart in the Student Union. Proceed down the stairs and you will see a sign for the UA Campus Pantry.

With questions about access or to request any disability-related accommodations that will facilitate your full participation in the Campus Pantry distributions or other Campus Pantry events, please contact: uofacampuspantry@gmail.com.

What to expect when visiting the Pantry

  1. When you arrive at the Pantry you will show your CatCard to a Campus Pantry team member which will grant you access to the Pantry.**
  2. Pantry users can currently take up to 8 items. Depending on donations for the week, we will offer additional items when available.
  3. Items always available at the Pantry include: canned foods, peanut butter, bread
  4. When you leave the Pantry, a Campus Pantry team member will weigh your grocery bag. These weight estimates assist us in sharing the story of the Campus Pantry to ensure that no Wildcat goes hungry.

**Please note that students will never be asked to identify themselves through StudentID, CatCard number or any other identifier as part of the Campus Pantry community. Students do not need to “qualify” to visit the Pantry. Any CatCard holding member of the UA community is welcome to visit the Pantry.
