Student Legal Services

ASUA Student Legal Services (SLS) is a free service offered to all currently enrolled UA students including UA Online, UA South and any other satellite campus students. Students get a thirty-minute consultation with a legal professional.

How do I sign up for an appointment?

You may make an appointment by calling 621-ASUA (621-2782), visit the ASUA office or use the online system.

You MUST be an enrolled at University of Arizona student to make an appointment. The reason for making the appointment cannot be regarding a conflict involving another University of Arizona Student. To use the online calendar, you MUST log out of gmail.com and login to your email.arizona.edu account. Appointments made outside of business hours will be approved the next business day. If you have any problems or questions making online appointments, please call us during business hours at 520-621-2782.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Bring a current UA Student ID with you and all relevant paperwork. For example, if problem involves your landlord bring a copy of your lease. If you received a criminal citation, bring the citation and police report.

What services are offered?

The ASUA Student Services program offers advice and counsel on a wide variety of legal issues including but not limited to:

notary service debt problems
power of attorney traffic violations
insurance disputes criminal matters
bankruptcy consumer complaints
intellectual property family law matters
simple wills automobile accidents
contract disputes landlord/tenant disputes
